Ricky dela Cruz, a senior marketing executive in a multinational company is seated in front of the desk of the HR Manager of a competing company.

He has plans of transferring there that is why he is called in for the interview.

The HR Manager came and she sat on her chair, reviewed the resume and credentials of Ricky, nods a little, as she faced him and said:

HR Manager: “Mr. dela Cruz, it says here in your papers that you are one of the top performers of your company. If you don’t mind, can I ask you about your salary?”

Ricky: “Well,” he said with an air of confidence, “I can’t complain!”

HR Manager: “I see,” although she was hoping to get a better answer. “What about the perks? The benefits? Medical, insurance and the like, can tell me something about them?”

Ricky: “Ma’m, as far as benefits is concern, I can’t complain!”

HR Manager: “Okay….” almost pissed off, but she restrained herself. “What about professional growth? Trainings, exposures, studies… do you have them too?”

Ricky: “I can’t complain either!”

This where the HR Manager started to snap.

HR Manager: “Mr. dela Cruz, I can’t understand it. You have a good salary, a seemingly good benefit package too, and the way I see it, a lot of potentials to grow personally in your present work. Can you please tell me why are you planning to leave your company?”

Ricky: “Because ma’m… I can’t complain!

(We all could use a good laugh every now and then ;) )

*Dont come to the interview drunk and then proceed to pass out

*Dont bring your mom, children or pets

*Tell your interviewer how you love to sing opera, then bust out signing acapella

    *Dont tell any racist jokes

*Do not submit an Impossible is Nothing type video resume (if you dont know what we are talking about please Google it&it is quite entertaining)
