Preparing for trade shows

Christmas is already fast approaching,  and being the most festive holiday makes it a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to start their business. Because during these times, there many trade show exhibits that are being held in major malls. Starting entrepreneurs can join these exhibits to get exposure for their business.

Aside from starting with less capital than that required for a formal business, you can join exhibits even without business papers – permits, licenses, etc. It is really an opportunity for the entrepreneur to test the water, so to speak.

If you are going to join the trade exhibits, make sure that you present them in such a way that would catch the exhibit goers attention. You can try putting table covers that carry your product or company name before putting any table top display on it. That way, trade show visitors can read it even while they’re still far from your booth. A stand-up banner or a streamer on top of your booth is a good idea too.

You can also bring those directors chairs type of stool, because aside from being handy (they’re foldable), you can also print your company name or logo at the back. It will be good for product recall.

So, better prepare for the exhibit, think of a product that you believe would be saleable for the season and go to your nearest malls and ask for the schedules of their exhibits.

Good luck!
