Joining trade exhibits

I have just received an invitation from Ka-Entrep about their forthcoming Pinoy-Negosyo 2010. I remember when I was still a newbie entrepreneur, trade show exhibits are events that I was always looking for. Trade fairs are a great way to break into the business scene. It gives you a feel of the market and you can get immediate feedback from trade fair visitors.

When you plan to join a trade fair, be sure to plan and present your booth well. You do not need to spend a fortune on your signages to get noticed. You can opt to have one of those table covers with your business name and logo printed so that trade exhibit visitor can see you easily even while they are still far.

Be conscious also of your table top display. Arrange your products so much so that it can easily catch attention and arouse curiosity from those who pass by your booth.

And since attending to your booth can be very tiring, you might want to bring also one of those directors chairs which can be easily folded and tucked away when are many visitors in you booth.

But do not expect really to make it bit via single trade fair. Do not be discouraged if you are not as successful in your first few attempts. Remember, your purpose is to “break-in” your business. If you get it right the first time, well and good! If not, just keep on participating. You will get your break soon enough.
