For those who are contemplating on becoming entrepreneurs but don’t know where to start, here’s something I got from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) website.
DTI is conducting free entrepreneurship trainings. This free training is a good venue to be exposed on the know-hows of business. This is most specially timely, to those who have availed of the P15,000 loan from SSS or the P50,000 from OWWA.

A legal contract is not something to play around with
Not too long ago I blog about some business lessons we could learn from Pacquiao’s victory over Dela Hoya. Now, he is again showing us some things we can learn and apply to our business… not to play around with legal contracts.
Manny Pacquiao‘s discipline and commitment to his sport cannot be questioned, we all see how he puts his heart into every fight. But recently, he is doing more than a good sportsman can do – violating legal contracts.
Wikipedia defines contract as “an exchange of promises between two or more parties to do, or refrain from doing, an act which is enforceable in a court of law. It is a binding legal agreement.”

Where to find jobs after graduation
In a few weeks’ time, our college seniors will finally graduate (again, congratulations Sir Mon!)… and then, the inevitable will follow – you need to find a job!
With already a hundred of Filipinos nowadays being jobless, what are the chances of the new graduates landing a job in the first few months of their job hunting?
Aside from the ‘experience’ factor, they actually have as much chance of passing (or failing) as the ‘seasoned’ job hunters.
But where do you really start looking for a job?

Pacquiao’s Victory, can we learn business discipline from it?
December 7, 2008, Philippine time. All eyes were glued on the television and every Filipino was very happy when Manny Pacquiao won over Oscar dela Hoya. From this victory, can we learn something that can be applied in business?
Yes we can… and we should. And what can these be? There are actually a lot of them, and here are just some:
Focus
Pacman has a lot of things to do aside from boxing. He has a hosting stint on local television, some businesses he invested in, social obligations he has to attend to, and of course his family. But when the need arise to focus on his mission, focused he was, and his sight was set on his desired result – to win the match.
Every entrepreneur should always be focused on what he wishes to accomplish in his endeavors. Taking everything that distracts his attention aside, until he has established his business.
Welcome To Roysville!
After a self-imposed hiatus, because of one business failure after another… and the death of my wife, I am now seriously considering again to go back into the entrepreneurial scene. Honestly, at this moment I still don’t have any concrete plan of what to do. Heck! I don’t even know where to start. The only thing I’m sure of right now is, I want to go back again.
Slowly I will trace where I left off. Carrying with me the lessons learned from previous failures and a firmer dedication to go on no matter what. Why the determination? Simple, because right now I have nothing. That only means I have nothing to loose. And this deficiency is in fact the stepping stone that will help me stand again and help me attempt to climb the ladder of success… again.
