I just received this message in my e-mail, and I must admit it made me nervous. I almost clicked the link in the message… but then I remembered, it could just be another phishing attempt.

I finally got my PayPal verified!

Yes! Now I can finally withdraw those money online that I’ve been earning for quite a while. They’re really not much, but they sure can be handy for those small emergencies. Seriously now, I am really happy that I finally got my PayPal verified after a long wait.

I don’t have a credit card, just like I said in my previous post in Hoping to get my PayPal verified, I applied for an EON Card at Union Bank which I was told is accepted at PayPal. After almost two weeks from application I got my EON Card, but I was told that it will take three days for my card to be activated for ATM purposes, and another two weeks before I can apply it at PayPal.

Hoping to get my PayPal verified

I failed with BDO but I was fortunate to get my money credited back by them, yet still up to now my PayPal is not yet verified. Sure, I can still receive payment in my account, but I can’t withdraw them yet until I have a bank credit card or debit card which is accepted by PayPal.

Today I applied for an EON Card by Union Bank, I was told that this one is accepted by PayPal. Before I applied, I asked the New Accounts clerk first if EON Card is indeed accepted by PayPal and he confirmed it, adding that it is the one being used by their client in their PayPal transactions. He is just not aware of the procedures in applying EON to PayPal.

So I immediately filled up an application to get my EON Card. The fee for the card P350.00, and there is no maintaining balance. However, the card requires at least two weeks to be processed and approved. So I still have to wait for the confirmation letter to arrive at our house, it is only then that I will know if my EON Card application is approved or not. If approved, I can go back to the branch to get my card. The P350.00 fee will only be paid once the account is approved.

A good enough procedure I must say. Two weeks will pass anyway, whether I have an approval to wait or not. Now, at least I have a chance to get my PayPal approved even if I do not have credit card.

What is PayPal?

I created this post because in one of my post regarding BDO in my House Of Puroy blog, a friend asked me what a PayPal is, and even continued with ‘can I earn money with that?‘ This doesn’t really surprised me, because I for one have learned to use PayPal only recently, although I have been made aware of its existence before. Honestly, I still haven’t explored the PayPal potentials because for one, I’m still not verified and second, I haven’t received any payment yet nor paid anyone yet, with it.

Though not really an expert, I’ll try my best to explain what PayPal is (at least to my comprehension). First Paypal is not something that earns you money. It’s not like any online opportunities wherein after you signed in and do some stuffs, cash will flow in. It’s not like that. PayPal don’t earn you money. At least, not in the way I mentioned.
